Care Instructions

To clean your Highrise Knit remove all loose dirt with a soft shoe brush. If necessary, go in with a clean, soft brush to apply some lukewarm water and a mild cleaning solution. Wipe any excess product with a moist cloth. Air dry at room temperature after cleaning or when the shoes got wet.

Make sure to regularly renew the water-repellent treatment, using a waterproofing spray. For best performance, we also recommend spraying them before you first wear them.

The Highrise Knit is not machine washable, as this removes its water-repellent properties and might cause the upper material to lose its shape.

Note: The shoes are not suitable for activities that cause a lot of friction on the sole, as this can damage the soft sole.

First time wearing barefoot

I have nothing to compare them too, since it is my first pair of barefoot shoes. I like them and love the look but will take time getting use to them. The only issue is they do rub the back of the top part of my heel ( I wear taller socks and it fixes it) and are hard to put on and off.

Dear Tasha,

Thank you for your honest feedback!

We are delighted to hear that you like the style of our Feelgrounds Highrise Knit.

That the back part of the shoe irritates your skin is not supposed to happen.
Please send us an email with some pictures and we're happy to look into it!
You might have received a defect pair.

If you're struggling with putting your shoes on and off, we can recommend
the elastic laces Safe & Go from our accessories section: feelgrounds.com/accessories
They are a great option if you don't want to unlace your shoes every time you slip into them.

We sincerely appreciate your feedback, as we are continuously striving to
improve and can only do so when you guys tell us what you need.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
We're happy to help!

Best regards,
Janina

Wears away a bit fast, but comfortable and love the look

I’ve had these shoes for almost a month and I love them. They’re comfortable to wear and WAY better than my previous new balance runners. BUT I have a few things I’m a bit sour about that id like to mention: wearing away, lace length, and grippiness.

Wearing away:
Soles - Since I received them, I’ve worn them for most of my day, most days since. I expected a reasonable amount of wear, obviously, but I’m a bit concerned at the rate it’s happening. The round grips at the bottom near the balls of my foot and heel are nearly completely flattened, which worries me due to the thinness of barefoot shoes in general, meaning if they flatten at this rate then I could need to buy new shoes in June or so. I hope the part under the grips is somewhat more stably built.

Cloth - the sewing around the rim of the sole has broken in three places. I’m hoping that this is mainly an outward design and I won’t have a sole fall off with regular use. The sewing around the ankles and top of the foot are relatively ok, with some slight shredding from the curb, but that’s completely expected and is obviously gonna happen. The laces are a bit shreddy as well, but not terribly, and the laces are also quite long, which leads me to my next point

Lace length:
The laces are long. Long enough that I have to triple, sometimes even quadruple tie them so I don’t trip on them when my foot gets stuck in a bunny ear. Maybe it’s a design choice, since it does look nice with the lengthy laces, but who can know for sure. Another issue is that if you don’t shorten the excess lace enough then you risk giving the aglet stress lines, which, on a black lace, looks a bit wacky. This isn’t a bigissue, and it’s only a mild annoyance. But I do have comments on the grip.

Grippiness:
When on dry dirt, wood, grass, or pavement, these shoes are truly in their element. I can stop with zero fear of slipping and are even better than my new balances. But if you introduce the SLIGHTEST amount of moisture, it’s honestly slightly scary to walk in these. I have fallen 2 times so far, both when it was moist out, and I definitely think grip could be an issue. But maybe I’ve just been using more comparatively grippy-when-wet shoes than average?

All in all, these shoes were a great first barefoot experience, even with the few gripes. I still get excited to put them on in the morning, and I haven’t had toe pain in a month. I can walk longer and run faster and easier. Overall, these get a solid 4 stars from me, and I’d definitely recommend them, but with a comment about the sole strength for their decision. Hopefully in the next iteration of the shoe they improve on these things.

So comfy but could use better grip

These shoes are super sleek and comfortable with a nice wide toe box for my bunion. My only complaint is that they can be pretty slippery in mud/rain. I would sacrifice some flex for better grip on the sole.
